Supporting healing and transformation

Has anyone had a chance to read Tav Spark's new book, MOVIE YOGA ? I received an advance copy from Holotropic.com where they are offering signed editions and it looks really interesting. It also came at a time when I was in the midst of struggling with a particular movie. Every time I watched it, I came away from it, I ended up with a different feeling. It contiues to happen and I have seen it at least 6 times. Sometimes I actually have to stop watching it...(Do you think there might be something there? duh) I guess there really are no mistakes. I can't wait to spend some time with the book and the movie again. I think it will prove to be a spectacular process. I believe it works using the Holotropic Prespective and hope to catch it soon. Amazing cover art too. Well done Tav! Also, Karey Pohn did an interview with Tav about his latest effort in the the most rececnt Inner Door which I just received a couple days ago. Would love to hear what others think. Love, Glen(n)

I've read it of course, as the editor, and I think it is a wonderful book. The descriptions of movie segments (to illustrate how to play the Movie Yoga game) are quite stunning. For example, the description of that scene in Pulp Fiction where they revive the ODed woman. We have that scene's description up on our site as an excerpt at http://www.hanfordmead.com/books/002,014.php (just scroll down to bottom of press page).

We recently had a lot of fun at a video shoot, filming Tav for a whole day, for what will be distilled down into a few short YouTube clips about Movie Yoga. He was great, as you might expect. You knew him when.... Get your signed copy!

So, heh, Glenn, what movie are you hung up on? :))

Love, Kylea

Years ago, I spontaneously used the movie "The Fisher King" as an assist to healing from a traumatic event, so when I first heard the phrase 'Movie Yoga," I had some idea what Tav might mean.

I've been learning about movie structure through the screen writing for feature film curriculum and UCLA online, and the idea of "Movie Yoga" makes even more sense to me now. Movie structure lines up quite neatly with the four perinatal matrices.
