Years ago, I spontaneously used the movie "The Fisher King" as an assist to healing from a traumatic event, so when I first heard the phrase 'Movie Yoga," I had some idea what Tav might mean. I've been learning about movie structure through the scr…

Has anyone had a chance to read Tav Spark's new book? I received an advance copy from Holotropic.com where they are offering signed editions and it looks really interesting. It also came at a time when I was in the midst of struggling with a particu…

Hello Glen(n) ;o)

have been thinking about you, more the last few days since in 2 days I will be co-facilitating a group of 24 breathers with Glenn Girlando and Beth here in Seattle. That always brings back memories from the training, where your light-filled smile and your generous soul was so important for me.

How are you? I have not yet gotten into the habit of chatting on this site so today, when I'm trying to see what's being discussed, all I see are old messages. Perhaps I don't know how to plug-in. If there is an ongoing discussion in which you've taken part, could you fold me in?

Love,
Helena

Dear Glenn,
Very good to hear from you!
I am happy for this new possibility to communicate, also good to read that your life is manageable! You often come into my mind and I hope we can communicate more. My own life has been demanding in its own way because of imbalances in my energy-system and pains following that. But right now It is O.K. and it makes me happy just to BE - in this moment.
I will share more mandalas as soon as possible! Big hug! Marry Christmas!
Anne.

Dear Glenn,

I know I must be really out of the loop but I didn't know about your illness and am so sorry to hear about all the difficulties that have come as a consequence. I want to thank you so much for all the work you have done for the Holotropic Breathwork community and me especially as I remember well the many workshops you facilitated when I was going through GTT training. You, most importantly, were such a loving facilitator. Thanks again.
Love and Namaste, Barbara St. Romain

Profile Information

What is your interest in Holotropic Breathwork? (This will be shown on your public profile.)
Longtime Advocate working with both AHBI and GTT.

PS I put the second "N" in my name in parenthesis as some write me with one and some with two...I really don't care.. Glenn Girlando's should have three "N"s though. ;-)
Also, for those who really care, I am only 52...but tell everyone I am in my 90's and they think I look really good for my age!
Tell the other community members something about yourself. (You can change or expand this later in your Profile.)
I am still alive and kicking....just not so hard. It has been a most interesting journey, but have learned to focus more on the present and less on the future. This time has also given me time to rekindle relationships from the past that I never seemed to find the time for when I was less terminal...at least in my mind anyway...
How has the practice of breathwork affected your life and work? ( This will be shown on your public profile.)
I think I am a kinder person because of HB.

Panhandlers and HB

After my bankruptcy hearing the other day, I stopped at the closest convenience store to buy a coke. As I drove up in my beat up 82 Datsun pickup, there was an older black man with graying temples and a big smile on his face with a sign that said "Spare change?" Before I even got out of my vehicle, I reached in my wallet and pulled out a dollar. As I handed him the dollar, I said that if things didn't turn around soon, I might be sitting right next to him. He told me that would be fine and he wo… Continue

Bankruptcy and Breathwork

Having done as many breathworks as have I thought I was prepared for most life events. Facing the loss of a loved one, or the possible loss of my own life, although challenging, has seemed "pretty manageable". I am not saying I haven't had my moments as I was really dealt a lot last year. First losing my best friend Lillie who had known me all my life and always seemed to have a way of knowing me in ways no one else. The day I found her dead in bed in April 2007 she looked like she was just slee… Continue

Hello Dear Ones

Yes, I am still around and doing better in some ways...less so in others. I love my doctors!! And they even give me choices. I have gained 30 pounds since my diagnosis in September 2007 which is a good thing as I was down to 140. Spend time every day working in the flower garden. Have also learned some of the ins and outs of the Dept of Economic Security (LOL) as well as Social Security ( ROFL) and now the bankruptcy court process ;-(

I count my blessings every day and realize now how lucky I r… Continue
